The Dome Church

A church that is as old as the city itself. The church was originally built sometime in the 1200s but has been rebuilt several times over the coming centuries. A simple Gothic church, with an interior from 1600’s. This church is the resting place of many important figures from the times of Swedish rule. The church’s unique collection of funeral weapons and includes many items belonging to Swedish noble families. Today, the church is Estonia’s centre for the Lutheran faith.
